Automatic part detection
Entities are chained into closed profiles by endpoint proximity, then tested for containment so that internal cutouts stay with the part they belong to rather than becoming parts of their own. Text inside a profile - ply names, material callouts, orientation - travels with it. In practice, a cleanly drawn nest of forty parts resolves in a few seconds and needs no intervention.
A real preview before you commit
Every detected part is outlined and numbered on the nest before anything is written. Deselect what you don't need, correct what's grouped wrongly. The failure this avoids is the expensive one: exporting a hundred files and discovering afterwards that a cutout went missing.
One DXF per part
Each part is written as its own DXF, with its profile, its cutouts and its text, optionally translated to its own origin. Files are named from a template you control and arrive zipped.
Layer handling
Keep layers exactly as they came, strip the ones that are noise, or remap them - customer layer ENGRAVE becomes your MARK, every time, without anyone opening a CAD package to do it. Mapping profiles are saved, so the customer who always sends the same layer scheme is handled the same way each time.
Parts reports
A table of every part with dimensions, quantity and cut length, exported as CSV for your estimating or MRP system, or as a PDF to go in the job bag. The report is generated on our server from the measurements - numbers only, no geometry - so it doesn't slow your machine down and it's identical every time.
Combined, deduplicated export
Queue several DXFs and export them together as one ZIP with a single copy of each distinct part - a part repeated across nests, even rotated or mirrored, is written once instead of once per occurrence. It tells you how many duplicates it found before writing anything, and only merges parts it's confident are the same shape.
Your drawing isn't uploaded
The DXF is parsed, split and written locally, in your browser. The application loads from us and checks your account against your plan, the same as any web application, and the parts report is built on our side from measurements rather than geometry - but the drawing itself never goes anywhere. Worth stating plainly, because it's the thing that decides whether a lot of companies can use an online tool at all.
Nothing to install
It's a browser tab. No installer, no admin rights, no IT ticket, no licence dongle, and it works the same on the estimator's laptop as on the machine in the office.
